PVHS and HMS will be taking the Maine Through Year assessment Oct. 1 and 2. Testing will be in the mornings and Senior class students do not need to report to school until 10:30 on each day. If you have any questions, please call the office.
This year at PVHS we are focusing on attendance. In order to be as successful as possible, students need to be in school as often as possible. For the month of September, every student at PVHS that misses two or fewer days of school (excused or unexcused) will be treated to pizza for lunch one time early next month. We hope to have a lot of students at that lunch!
Tomorrow is the big day! We can't wait to see all of our students and welcome them to the new school year. Reminders: School begins at 7:45 a.m., all students will report to their homerooms which will be found on lists as they enter the school, dismissal is at 2 p.m. We are looking forward to a great school year!
BUS ROUTES for 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR
Due to a low number that has signed up for HMS golf so far, we are opening up participation for incoming 5th graders as well! Please contact Jeremy Durost at jeremy.durost@sau31.org if you have a son or daughter interested. We will need a signed physical form and a Health Form packet signed and turned in before they can start. We currently have copies of the (green) Health forms in the foyer outside the high school lobby, where parents can grab a copy anytime.
Fall Sports begin Monday August 19th for anyone in grade 6 through 12 who is interested and hasn't yet signed up. You must have your Health form completed and turned in, and a signed physical form clearing you to participate. The sports we offer at HMS are Golf, Boy's Soccer, and Girl's Soccer. At the high school level at PVHS we offer Golf, Boy's Soccer, Girl's Soccer, and are looking to join Mattanawcook Academy in a co-op program with their Cross Country and Cheering (for football). Please contact Jeremy Durost at jeremy.durost@sau31.org for more information.
Hold your heads up high Lady Howlers, as you've made your community proud! The outcome of today's game wasn't what you had hoped, but you played tough, stuck together, and displayed great sportsmanship and class in the process. The 2-1 NYA win could've easily been a win in your favor, as the breaks just seemed to go your opponent's way today. You out-hit them 10-7, and didn't make a single error in the field. What an amazing season, and an amazing group of young student/athletes!

What WAS Up Wednesday?!
On Wednesday, May 1 the National Honor Society volunteered to host a blood drive with the American Red Cross. Many students, faculty and community members came by to donate blood. We had 27 eligible donors and finished the day with 23 full donations. Thank you to the Red Cross, the NHS student volunteers, the community members who donated and spread the word and the staff for donating, helping with setup, covering through the day and clean up.
The Red Cross nurses praised our students both donating and volunteering for their behavior and willingness, we are VERY PROUD. Donations make a big difference in many lives. Thank you everyone!
If you didn't get a chance to donate yesterday, there is a drive today at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Lincoln- go to redcrossblood.org to sign up!
