What's Up Wednesday!?!?!?
Mrs. Anderson's students have been learning about honey bees for the past couple of weeks.
The Black Bear Beekeepers visited us on Friday afternoon and gave a lesson about what a beekeeper's job is and the importance of taking care of honey bees, as well as the job of the different bees in a hive.
They brought an observation hive so we could see the bees at work in a hive. We also spotted the Queen Bee. We had a snack with fresh local honey, and won
some prizes. The students had the chance to try on a bee suit. The students from Mr. McClosky's room joined us for the fun. All of the students did a fantastic job asking questions and participating in the activities.
