PVHS Fiber Arts students are in the middle of a multi skill unit that has them carving soap. They started by making the soap bars and are now carving them. They can either carve a 3D image into the soap or carve the entire bar into another shape. (This uses their knowledge of negative and positive space in artwork) This medium allows the students to reuse the materials with zero waste because they are able to remelt and form any mistakes or shavings. It has been a hit thus far.
