Last week, Mrs. Shorette's 2nd graders started a global reading competition called the ReadBowl! The ReadBowl is a competition to see which class can read the most minutes every quarter. The winning class can win all sorts of prizes with only 1 class being crowned the ultimate champion in February! These 2nd graders came out strong in the first quarter putting up over 4,000 minutes! Even though we had a very strong kickoff, the start of the 2nd quarter will require even more
drive and teamwork to keep us in the running to be crowned the champions! If you see a 2nd grader out there cheer them on and let them know you are rooting for them. Happy reading!
